Phew at last I got a decent picture of monkeys a monkey! *tap my own back* This is the safest distance I could go to snap a picture of it. Not so far yet not enough courage to go any nearer.
Monkeys and UKM; they are bestfriends. Some even named the monkeys as monyet universiti. Just because they stayed in UKM longer than us that they deserved the title T_T No fair!
I love *cough* monkeys when between us is a saaaafe distance. They are cute creatures. Tails dangling long. Furry? Smelly? (haha). Always on the move to grab people's food especially the one with a red plastic bag dangling on their hands. They usually appear during early mornings (sometimes) and evenings (always). Diorang diet makan breakfast dan dinner sahaja.
Students need to be on alert especially during these time. Their screeching voices and the swish and swash sound of leaves showed that there's monkeys. Close windows and don't move ^^
The do's/don'ts when you see monyet universiti :
#1 : Don't bring a red plastic bag. It means food for the monkey.
#2 : Don't make faces at them. They have feelings too. My friend once did that and they were chased by them T_T
#3 : Don't try to scare them. It wouldn't work. In the end, there would just be shrieks and shouts.
#4 : If they attack you, relent by giving them your food. Don't try to fight unless you are faster to outrun them.
#5 : Always selawat and dhikir if you are alone and see them in groups. You never know what they going to do to you. May Allah protect us.
#6 : Don't feed them with bananas. They are too much 'university' to eat that. They eat what we humans eat. Just name it; Nasi kerabu, Nasi goreng, Maggi, Milo, Ayam Bob and etc.
#7 : Don't try to catch them. You will end up being a fool (lolz).
Three years with them.
I'm certainly going to miss you monkies.
